Sornson Continues To Dominate with Syllamo Win!

The Syllamo’s Revenge results are in! Congrats to Drew Edsall for taking the Men’s Open class, Cheryl Sornson for taking the Women’s Open class, Gerry Pflug took Single Speed, and Chris Irving took Master’s! For Cheryl, this makes 4 straight wins in the National Ultra-Endurance series!

Next up is the The Mohican 100 coming up June 1st!

NUE Wildcat 100 This Weekend!

LOGO-WC-100-10 The National Ultra-Endurance Series Wildcat 100 is this weekend in Rosendale, NY! The race kicks off at 6:45am on May 11th. This is the closest 100mi race to New York City and will take racers through some of New York’s best mountain biking and scenic views like Minnewaska State Park Preserve and Mohonk Preserve. Trans-Sylvania MTB Epic Registration Closes May 10th!

What is the Trans-Sylvania Mountain Bike Epic? It’s a 7 day stage race in Pennsylvania based out of   Seven Mountains Boy Scout Campground. This year’s race will be held May 26-June 1, 2013!

Spring Has Sprung: Notable MTB Race Finishes This Weekend!

WkdApril28Red Bull Rusch Hour Kokopelli Trail saw Rebecca Rusch smash the women’s record on the route at 13:32:46! Congrats to Rebecca! Get the details here! And Rich Wince took the Trans-Iowa V9! Catch Guitar Ted’s call on Mountain Bike Radio here! Eddie O’Dea set the course record at the Stagecoach 400! In fact, the top three finishers Eddie, Guy Sutton, and JayP all finished in record time! Christian Tanguy took the Open Men’s class in the NUE Cohutta 100! Aaron Gulley took the 300mi leg of the Arizona Trail Race and took the men’s record at 2:03:59 Eszter Horanyi bested the women’t record by 15 hours at  2:13:15, and was third overall!

Update: Oops! Gotta mention  the Whiskey 50! Geoff Kabush took first and Jeremiah Bishop took second! Congrats!

Trans-Iowa V9, Stagecoach 400, and the Cohutta 100 Kick-off This Weekend!

World’s Longest Cycling Trail To Open In April

MundaBiddi1The Munda Biddi Trail, the world’s longest continuous bike trail, will open in Western Australia this month. The Welldrill Munda Biddi Epic 1000 will kick off the opening of the trail with twenty-six cyclists starting in Albany on April 7 and finishing in Mundaring on April 28.

“Cyclists on the Epic will become the first Munda Biddi Trail Blazers and the first people in the world to ride the full length of the iconic trail, which means ‘path through the forest’ in Noongar Aboriginal language.”

It sounds like a time trial is in order!
