Okay so I’m getting stoked! I’m checking out the map and seeing where I can or should be on the way. Those of you riding might want to do the same. One good place right on the route is Woody’s Bike Shop. Woody’s is right on the route. It’s off 356 just before you hit Hwy 75. The sign is small, as I recall, and it’s back off the road and not easily seen. If you hit Hwy75 just back track about 1/4 to 1/2 mile and you’ll see it. But that would be a good place if you need tubes, a wheel trued, any kind of maintenance.
I’m tentatively planning to be in Helen (maybe hang out at Woody’s as some folks come through), off Aska Rd, Mulberry Gap possibly, and the Dug Gap parking lot. This could all change but we’ll see.
Bike Shop Info:
I just called Woody’s. They’re open everyday 10-5pm except Tuesday.
Just talked to Shane at BearCreek Bikes in Dalton. They are pretty much it. They will be Closed Sat and Mon but open Tuesday. I’d expect the leaders to come through Mon or Tuesday. They are located about 2mi North of the route in town.

(706) 260-2733 – I believe this shop number will forward to Shane as he gave me this number as an emergency contact number. I post it here because it’s already posted on their website.
I’m waiting to hear back from Cyclesouth in Blue Ridge. But I did talk to Mike Palmeri at Cartecay Bikes in Ellijay. They will be open Monday and Tuesday. They plan to have someone in on Saturday but of course, no one will be coming through that soon. Both shops are about 8mi off the route on Hwy 515/5 with Cyclesouth North and Cartecay South. However, they may prove worth the ride in an emergency.
We’re just a week away from the start of the inaugural Trans-North Georgia TT and I just finished an interview with Eddio O’Dea and Dave Muse. I’ll have it ready for the next show. We talked a lot about the formation of the route, what racers are in for, and about the rules.
