ITI ‘10: They’re off!

They're on their way! Some 14" of new snow is on the ground at the start and conditions along the way range from new snow at the start, no new snow up on Rainy Pass, possibly having to bring some snow into Dalzell Creek to bare ground out on Farewell Burn. Who knows what the weather could bring? Will the trip to McGrath be less contentious than the race to Nome? Or will we see the tough conditions return as in the past 2 years as racers struggle towards and over the range? It's hard to saw as Alaska's weather is as varied as it is unpredictable. We hope to get word about the start and conditions soon!

Currently in Anchorage: 27F
Currently in McGrath: 2F

Congratulations to Gracie Sorbello and Matt Berney for completing their Individual Tour Divide Time Trial.
