MTBCast Listed On iTunes!

Posted by Administrator on December 31st, 2005

I got an email confirmation from iTunes and MTBCast has been accepted for listing! This will mean subscribing to the cast will be much easier for those who use iTunes. From what I’ve read, they like to see your cast have more than one episode and I think they may also consider the interest in the cast. Thanks to everyone for your support and interest!

TrailTapes Vidcast coming!

Posted by Administrator on December 28th, 2005

Chris Kelley is working on a mountain biking video cast! Check it out here. He’s also got a great shout-out to MTBCast there! Thanks, Chris! He has some great things planned.

Chris sent me this info:
“TrailTapes Mountain Bike TV will be more of a magazine style TV show with news, trail-logues, news, tech tips and the like. Stories we’re working on include, Preparing for Winter Riding (I’m in Northern Illinois), How to Make Studded Tires, a road trip to Ray’s Indoor MTB in Cleveland, OH and interview with Ray (hopefully). Other possibilities include stuff like how to fix a broken chain or a flat tire while out on the trail. And travel-logues/Trail-logues.”

It sounds like its going to be a cool show! We’ll be keeping a link here so you can check out!

I just finished setting up the MTBCast Store over at Cafe Press. Check out what’s available here. I hope to be able to get some give-aways in the future for events but if you want to show your support now that would be cool! If you have a request for the logo on something not listed, just let me know at mtbcast_at_gmail.com.

Atlanta looks to add green space

Posted by Administrator on December 25th, 2005

ATLANTA - The sprawling metropolis always has given park proponents a headache. Founded as a railroad hub, the city has no ocean, no mountains and no major body of water to serve as a built-in foundation for a park system.

One of the only opportunities for adding green space is artificial - the mostly unused railroad tracks that ring the city, dotted with rundown warehouses and abandoned depots.

It is precisely those tracks that city planners and green groups propose to use in an ambitious $2.1 billion plan to build a 22-mile verdant loop of parks, paths and transit around the city that would link 45 neighborhoods.
